Ohio’s oil and gas drilling industry and its allies showed up in full force at the state capitol on Wednesday. Dozens of business representatives took the opportunity to tell state legislators how the industry is beginning to boom in several economically pinched Appalachian counties, thanks to the drilling method known as hydraulic fracturing, or fracking. But, as Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports, there was also a subtext.
