The grades are in for Ohio’s nursing homes. The Ohio Department of Aging has released a list of all the facilities -- and how they were rated by residents and families.

Among the factors are medical care, activities, meals, and more. Beverley Laubert has been Ohio’s Ombudsman on long-term care for 19 years. She talked about the latest survey results with Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen.

She is Ohio’s ombudsman on long-term care. Laubert stresses that when Ohioans are considering a nursing home for themselves or a family member, they can visit the website of the Ohio Department of Aging. They can see not only the latest customer satisfaction survey, but also how each facility fared when state inspectors visited.
