Over 8 percent of the American population has diabetes, and experts warn that the growing obesity epidemic will spur on even more cases in the future. Insulin is the main hormone at issue for diabetics--and researchers everywhere are trying to better understand its role in the body. That's the topic of our Tuesday Checkup. Anne Glausser spoke with Plain Dealer reporter Brie Zeltner about her article in the health section of today's paper.
