NASA's Glenn Research Center in Brook Park gets a new leader today. James Free, who has been deputy Director of NASA Glenn or two years, takes the reigns from Ray Lugo, who is retiring after a nearly 40 year career at the agency. Free takes over as the center restructures itself for better efficiency and cost saving. NASA could lose substantial funding if a pending across the board Congressional sequestration takes hold. Free says he expects Congress will avert a crisis, and that NASA Glenn's budget will remain flat for 2013. In an interview with ideastream's Bill Rice, he discusses the agency's evolving mission and what's in store for Glenn.
