Yesterday we spoke with Ohio Democratic Senator Sherrod Brown about what seems to be a stalemate in Washington over taxes, spending and the fiscal cliff. Brown said President Obama is on the right track in insisting on raising the tax rate on the wealthiest Americans while leaving the rate as it is for those making under $250,000 a year. On the Republican side, Congressman Jim Renacci, who just won the newly drawn Ohio 16th district seat, is behind House Speaker John Boehner in balking at the president's proposal. Speaking with ideastream's Bill Rice earlier today, he said the President is failing to lead.
