Virtual charter schools have seen exponential growth in Ohio since the state opened its first one back in 2000. Enrollment is now at 30,000 K-through-12 students. Ohio Public Radio's StateImpact project and the Plain Dealer are taking a closer look at the schools and their evolution. StateImpact editor M.L. Schultze spoke with the Plain Dealer's Patrick O'Donnell and StateImpact's Molly Bloom about what they found.
