As part of ideastream's continuing coverage "Body in Pain" - we examine a pain based disease... that some health experts don't even agree exists. Fibromyalgia - in its most simple definition, is a medical disorder characterized by chronic widespread pain. It is being studied by the National Institutes of Health, as well as by doctors here in Cleveland. Ideastream's Rick Jackson spoke about the pain caused by fibromyalgia with Dr. Ali Askari, University Hospital's division chief of rheumatology ...beginning by asking what people might express... that makes him suspect they suffer from this rare disease...
