Ohio’s prison officials want to move the 146 male prisoners on death row. Right now, those inmates are split between two different prisons but the plan under consideration would change that. In an interview with Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles, Carlo LaParo of the Ohio Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation explains authorities have been studying how to make death row more cost effective. There is one woman in Ohio who is on death row. Under this plan, Donna Roberts will remain at the Reformatory for Women in Marysville.
