Cleveland has three such centers - Care Alliance services the homeless and those in public housing, Neighborhood Health Services is on the east - and Neighborhood Family Practice, on the near west side.
Jean Polster is Executive Director of 'that' facility, and talked with ideastream's Rick Jackson about the Health Center Network 's week of recognition - which begins with a program in Downtown Cleveland Tuesday morning. Speakers include Congresswoman Marcia Fudge, County Health Commissioner Terry Allan, and James Galloway of the U-S Department of health and Human Services.
The conversation began with the idea that the need for such centers is growing, because some people have no where else to go.
