Former President Jimmy Carter will remain at Metrohealth overnight after experiencing an upset stomach on a flight to Cleveland.
Carter became ill on a flight from Atlanta. The Carter Center in Atlanta issued a statement Tuesday saying that the 85-year-old Carter will stay at MetroHealth hospital overnight at the recommendation of his doctor.
Carter was flying to Cleveland to promote his new book. He plans to resume his book tour Wednesday in Washington D.C.
His grandson, Georgia state Sen. Jason Carter, says his grandfather is doing fine.
Book signings in suburban Cleveland and Durham, N.C., were canceled Tuesday.
