An estimated one in five Americans suffers from some type of allergy. Pollen, mold, dust, certain foods and animals cause misery for millions. For some unfortunate few, peanuts or bee stings can be the kiss of death. ideastream®'s Eric Wellman sat down with health reporter Gretchen Cuda to talk about what alergies really are and put to rest some popular misconceptions. ideastream and The Plain Dealer will have more reports and programs on allergies next week.
