For the 15,000 children in the United States who will be diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes this year, learning how to deal with a complicated disease will likely be the greatest challenge many have faced in their young lives. ideastream intern Nicole Frie takes us to a special camp in Geauga County that helps kids realize that that their diabetes is manageable – but only if they understand the disease and take control.
