NASA Glenn Research Center is starting the upcoming fiscal year with a budget that exceeds $600 million, $100 million more than last year. Those dollar amounts raise concerns from some people who think that money would be better spent here on earth rather than on space research. But the scientists at NASA argue that many innovations that were originally intended for space also have implications here on earth. ideastream®'s Eric Wellman spoke with Kathy Needham, chief of technology Transfer and Partnerships at NASA Glenn Research Center.
