Tough economic times good for libraries

CLEVELAND (AP) - President Jim Rettig with the American Library Association says library use typically increases amid a sour economy. He has heard from librarians across the country who are lending more books, DVDs and other materials. The 28-branch Cuyahoga County Public Library system in suburban Cleveland saw a 12 percent increase in book circulation in the first six months of the year.
