Northeast Ohio is home to thousands of acres of parkland. There are city parks, metroparks, state parks--the region is even home to a national park, in Cuyahoga Valley. Strike out on a sunny day and you're bound to see many fellow hikers and bikers. But not as many as there could be, some say, because people just don't know what's out there. A new initiative in Summit County aims to change this. ideastream's Anne Glausser has more.

Cuyahoga County officials are committing a quarter of a million dollars to roll out a revamped missing persons reporting system. The move follows revelations that one of the women held captive for a decade in a Cleveland home was removed from a national missing persons database just a year into her ordeal. ideastream’s Brian Bull reports.

Some conservative Ohio lawmakers and some faith leaders who generally support conservative causes want to put millions of additional dollars into more preschool for at risk children...something a lot of Democrats have championed in the past. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports the push is on at the Ohio Statehouse to get more money for early childhood education.
