Imagine a typical late-night talk show, with host/comedian, and sidekick straightman. The object is not solely to entertain, but to teach students ways to study, memorize, take notes, use the library and take tests. In short, a whole course in study skills..that's Study Jam!
The program is hosted by Jenny Berry, a fifth grade teacher who is also an accomplished actress and comedienne. Mike Ricchetti, a high school student, uses his naturally funny style to act as co-host at the schools that were connected by satellite in the original broadcast of the program ...the 'Remote Patrol.' Study Jam also features the 'King ov Heartz World Reggae Band.' Add to the band a studio set designed to recreate the primary places where kids study and do homework (kitchen, living room, bedroom) and you've got a hip series that is sure to lead middle school students on the road to better studying. (The series originally aired live on WVIZ.)
