Podcasts: Friday, July 27, 2007
Talks have been going on for a week between the United Auto Workers union and the big three car makers as both sides sit down to hammer out a new contract. The Sound of Ideas: Wednesday, July 25, 2007
What if brain surgery were quick, painless, and could effectively kill an otherwise deadly tumor without a scalpel blade ever touching the skin? In some cases it is. Last week, oncologists at the Cleveland Clinic inaugurated the latest multi-million dollar GammaKnife, and University Hospitals boasts the only CyberKnife in Ohio. These technologies are bloodless, virtually painless yet they can stop a brain tumor in its tracks and have you home for dinner. On the Sound of Ideas, we'll talk about the technology, its costs and its effectiveness. Join the conversation Wednesday morning at nine on 90.3.
