Looking for standards-based professional learning? ideastream offers a wealth of professional learning opportunities.

WVIZ/PBS’s Educational Services Department provides a wide array of Professional Learning opportunities to thousands of educators in over 200 school districts in an eleven county area in Northeast Ohio. WVIZ/PBS’s technology training services can be tailored to a district’s needs from novice to the scholar and can be provided in the teaching labs of WVIZ/PBS ideastream, in your school district, or via Distance Learning. WVIZ/PBS provides the availability of graduate credit for workshops that meet university requirements.

In person Professional Learning Opportunities are held at Idea Center at PlayhouseSquare,

The iPad Learning Center
Are you interested in supplementing your lessons with iPads but do not have the funds for a class set?  Then consider an iPad learning center in which you will receive:

Learn how to create a school account and download apps on your iPads.  Understand basic and/or advance functions of the iPad.  Explore apps in all subject areas and learn how to integrate them to reinforce your lessons.  Discover best practices of rotating students in and out of the center and much, much more.

Interactive Student Response Systems
Cost: $1,524 (includes a class set of 24 response systems) or $1,739 (includes a class set of 32 response systems).All purchases include one 3-hour training session for three participants, $100 for each additional participant. Cost: $754 (includes one AVerVision CP300 Document Camera and training for two participants) or $1,700 (includes two AVerVision CP300 Document Cameras

Mimio Interactive
Cost: $1,009 (includes one mimio interactive bar and wireless device and training for (1) three hour training session for two participants) or $1,818 (includes two mimio interactive bar and wireless device and training for (1) three hour training session for four participants) $100 for each additional participant.  Create a dynamic, inexpensive, interactive work surface with mimio® interactive.

A Technology Concierge at Your School
Cost: $400 for the three hours.  Is your staff experiencing trouble with tasks in Microsoft Office, the SMART Board, or any other technology? An ideastream® staff member will visit your school for three hours and conduct small group sessions or and/or visit classrooms.
