A collaborative production between WBUR in Boston and NPR, Here & Now is public radio’s daily midday news magazine - bringing you the news that breaks after Morning Edition and before All Things Considered. Hosts Robin Young and Jeremy Hobson drive the show, supported by contributions from NPR reporters and bloggers, the BBC and stories from member stations around the country.
Robin brings more than 25 years of broadcast experience to her role as host of Here & Now, which she has been a part of for more than a decade. She’s a Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker who has also reported for NBC, CBS and ABC, and for several years she was substitute host and correspondent for The Today Show. Robin has said that she’s pretty sure she’s the only Peabody Award winner who has also hosted a cooking game show (the Food Network’s “Ready Set Cook!”).
If Jeremy’s voice sounds familiar, it’s because he was most recently host of Marketplace Morning Report. Prior to his time at Marketplace, where he started in 2007, Jeremy worked as a reporter and producer for NPR shows ranging from All Things Considered to Wait Wait…Don’t Tell Me! His radio career began at age nine when he started contributing to a program called Treehouse Radio.
