In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of passing the Civil Rights Act - Case Western Reserve University School of Law recently hosted a symposium about racial disparity in health care... On hand were experts in health care fields from around Ohio - two of whom talked with ideastream's Rick Jackson about disparities in Health Care.

Vernellia Randall is Professor Emeritus of law at the University of Dayton School of law.
Professor of Law Ruqaiijah Yearby is also the Associate Director of the Law-Medicine Center at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Law, and was the symposium chair.
What came to the surface quickly was the concept that all of us have biases - and that includes the people who treat your health - regardless how careful they think they are; at being fair:
