Rick Jackson hosts a special edition of Feagler & Friends

Guest 1: Ed FitzGerald, Cuyahoga County Executive
In his third year at the helm of government in Cuyahoga County, FitzGerald says he’s accomplished what he set out to do as the first elected county executive. Now he’s set his sights on the Governor’s office. FitzGerald is the only Democrat so far to declare his intention to run against first-term incumbent John Kasich. FitzGerald has little downstate name recognition but is encouraged by polling data showing Kasich with a lead of less than 10 points. The election is still more than a year away.

Guest 2: Rep. Armond Budish, candidate for Cuyahoga Co. Executive
The former Ohio House Speaker recently announced his candidacy for the job FitzGerald is leaving. Budish is serving his fourth term in the House capping a legislative career in which he rose swiftly from freshman to Speaker, a stint that lasted just two years as Republicans soon recaptured majority status. Budish’s stay in the House will end next year because of term limits. Budish’s entry in the race is matched by two other Democrats, state Senator Shirley Smith and former Sheriff Bob Reid.
