Build Ohio - Careers/College/Training

Now is good time to learn about what the Construction Industry offers. For students directly out of high school to those with college degrees, in Trade (Craft profession), Management, Technical and Administrative, Design and Engineering professions.

In Ohio, nearly 193,000 jobs exist in construction, with the average pay of $53,000. There are over 30,000 construction companies in Ohio.   With growth in the construction as well as technology, materials, and the environment advancements, there are new opportunities in the Construction Industry.

Who wants to be in charge? Who can get things done? Can you focus on the “big picture” and/ or small details?

What do you have to offer the Construction Industry? If you have skills in Information Technology, Environmental, Accounting, Draftspersons, Administrative, Marketing, Purchasing, Supervision, etc. Construction related career opportunities exist in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, bricklayers, painting, architecture/design, engineering, energy, safety, accounting, and facility maintenance

What skills are needed in Construction? Leadership, decision making, communication, math, teamwork, etc.
