BackStage with Mary Poppins

Posted Thursday, November 13, 2008

1:00 to 2:45 p.m.

“BackStage with Mary Poppins” will explore the creation of this magical Disney musical with Thomas Schumacher (producer), Cameron Mackintosh (co-creator and producer), Richard Sherman (original music and lyrics), George Stiles (new songs and additional music), Anthony Drewe (new songs and additional lyrics), David Caddick (music supervisor), Ashley Brown (Mary Poppins) and Gavin Lee (Bert).

This will be a special WVIZ production.  The program will begin at 1:00 and end at 2:45.  Although we would like to have the schools participate in the entire program, schools can disconnect at the time most convenient to their schedule.  WVIZ would also like to have interaction with the students at the remote sites.  As we did with last year’s Marvin Hamlisch program, sites will be selected to interact with the program guests.
