BackStage With...
BackStage with... is a series of dynamic interviews with masters in the performing arts, offering revealing insights and inspirational motivation into the creation of groundbreaking Broadway musicals. Remote site students will have the opportunity to interact live with actors, directors, musicians, dancers, choreographers, etc. The series is presented by WVIZ/PBS ideastream and PlayhouseSquare.

Career Exploration Series
The Career Exploration Series feature presenters from a variety of careers who will discuss the nature of their occupation, education background, training and qualifications, job outlook, average earnings, advancement potential, related occupations, and sources of additional information. Remote site students will have the opportunity to interact live with our guests or send their questions via email.

Careers in the Performing Arts
ideastream, in partnership with PlayhouseSquare, presents a unique and exciting series of career programs that features the professionals from Broadway shows, plays, musicals, opera, ballet and contemporary performing arts.

Entrepreneurial Learning Series
The Entrepreneurial Learning series provides students an opportunity to interact live with entrepreneurs. Programs are designed to help students understand the importance of entrepreneurship, expose some of the common myths about what it takes to succeed, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, learn how to identify opportunities, develop critical thinking skills, see the importance of perseverance and overcoming adversity, identify the possibilities as well as the pitfalls of starting a business and see the value of making mistakes and learning from failure.

Special Presentations
WVIZ/PBS ideastream has developed a number of partnerships throughout northeast Ohio. As a result of these collaborative efforts “special” programming becomes available to share with students across the state. Through the use of WVIZ distance learning technology, students can participate and interact live in a variety of “themed” programs. Examples of special programming have included: Model UN, Black History Month, Junior Achievement, Smart and Sober, Diversity, Sounds of Ideas, Cultural Exchange, Roots of American Music, etc.

Town Hall Speaker Series
As an extension of the public Town Hall series, presented by Cleveland State University, prominent public figures speak to student audiences throughout Ohio. These programs originate from the Idea Center® at PlayhouseSquare, Cleveland, and are transmitted to schools using interactive video distance learning technology.
