Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) will give a much-needed Washington, D.C. update. He’ll let us know how things are going in the capitol post-shutdown and where the government is headed. Brown will also discuss the state of implementation for the Affordable Care Act, both nationally and in Ohio specifically.

Sherrod Brown is the senior United States Senator from the state of Ohio. Prior to his election to the U.S. Senate, Brown was a U.S. Representative for 14 years, representing Ohio’s 13th congressional district. Senator Brown has also served as Ohio Secretary of State and was a member of the Ohio House of Representatives.

Senator Brown defeated two-term Republican incumbent Mike DeWine in the 2006 Senate election and was re-elected in 2012, over challenger Josh Mandel.

Senator Brown is currently chairman of the Agriculture Subcommittee on Hunger, Nutrition and Family Farms and the Banking Subcommittee on Economic Policy, and is a member of the Committee on Fianance, Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, and Select Committee on Ethics.
