‘The Ballad of Baby Doe’, Joan Jett and Tracy Silverman As the Chautauqua Opera stages The Ballad of Baby Doe, Dan Polletta speaks with the show's director. Plus, we listen back on Dee Perry's conversation with Joan Jett in time for her appearance tonight at AP Music Awards and we share a performance by electric violinist Tracy Silverman in the Key Bank Studio.

Additional Information

Jay Lesenger of the Chautauqua Opera Company teams up with ideastream’s Dave Kanzeg to discuss the story of the upcoming opera, The Ballad of Baby Doe, which features the true story of a woman of scandalous reputations. The show makes it’s way on stage Friday, July 25 and Monday, July 28.

Rock legend Joan Jett joined us earlier this summer, and now we take a look back at her influence on the music industry just in time for the Alternative Press Music Awards at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday, July 21.

As electric violinist Tracy Silverman wraps up a performance at Cain Park on July 19 and gets ready for another show at the Beachland Ballroom July 21, we get a glimpse of his stage presence in studio.
