Maya Angelou, All-City Musical and Ben Folds Today we share Dee Perry's archive interview with the late poet and civil rights activist - Maya Angelou - who passed away at age 86. Also, catch Dan Polletta's preview of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District's 15th annual production of Rent and look ahead to a Cleveland's Contemporary Youth Orchestra performance with pianist Ben Folds.

Maya Angelou, legenday poet and author, passed away in her North Carolina home Wednesday morning at 86.

The Cleveland Metropolitan School District kicks off it’s 15th annual All-City musical. CMSD’s production of ‘Rent’ will open at Ohio Theatre at PlayhouseSquare on Friday, May 30, and run through Sunday, June 1.

Pianist Ben Folds will perform with Cleveland’s Contemporary Youth Orchestra, which is made up of local high school students between the ages of 14 and 18, at Severance Hall on Monday, June 2.
