Michael Stanley
For more than a decade, Michael Stanley was the reigning star of rock and roll in Northeast Ohio as front man for the Michael Stanley Band. When the band broke up in 1986, Michael didn't just disappear into some rock and roll neverland. Instead, he remained in Northeast Ohio, building on his legacy by redirecting his talents to radio and television broadcasting. He had a long run on PM Magazine and his current gig is afternoon drive-time host on classic rock WNCX. However, making music never stopped for Michael Stanley as he continued to step into the spotlight with his backing band the Resonators, releasing more than a dozen albums. His latest CD is The Ride.

Ballroom Dancing for 5th Graders
Michael Stanley may be a hit with baby boomers, but probably not with Generation Z - kids born after the year 2000 - who are probably more inclined to listen to Justin, Mylie and Jay Z on their iPods. So imagine the reaction some kids had after finding out they'd be spending the next 10 weeks listening to the Tango, Foxtrot and Rumba. It was an opportunity we could not resist sending our ideastream cameras to capture.

Sculptor Albert Paley
The work of acclaimed sculptor Albert Paley can be found in the permanent collections of some of the most prestigious museums, parks and gardens in the world - including northeast Ohio at the Cleveland Botanical Garden. When he was here, he had one goal: the installation of a 15-foot tall by 60-foot long floral gate to enhance the grounds of the Garden. In our ongoing series, Applause America, we get some insight into the making of that piece, as Albert Paley creates thirteen large-scale monuments for one of the busiest streets in the world - New York’s Park Avenue!Singer Michael Stanley
