Thom Boddie - he wasn’t a musician; he never sang a note in his life, but he made lots of music. It was at his home on Union Avenue on the east side of Cleveland that for nearly 40 years Boddie helped aspiring singers and musicians realize their dreams of one day having a hit record.

The Hesitations formed in 1965 in Cleveland. You might remember the Hesitations for a string of albums and singles that climbed near the top of the Billboard charts. Their biggest hit singles were “Born Free” and “The Impossible Dream.” Others might remember the Hesitations for making headlines after tragedy struck.
