Dee Perry opens the new book from Harvey Pekar - Not the Israel My Parents Promised - with his widow Joyce Brabner & artist JT Waldman. Plus, we share the inspiring story of violinist Rachel Barton Pine as she performs live in our Key Bank studio. And we share the words of Pulitzer-Prize winning author Alice Walker as Karamu House stages the musical adaptation of Walker's acclaimed novel - The Color Purple.

Illustrator JT Waldman and widow Joyce Brabner explore Harvey Pekar’s religion through his posthumous work,as part of a free, public event at Case Western Reserve University on October 17 4:30-6:30pm.

Rachel Barton Pine performs with City Music Cleveland Wednesday, October 17 - Sunday October 21 at various venues throughout Northeast Ohio.

The Color Purple is onstage at Karamu House now through Sunday, October 28.
