November 17, 2015 (Cleveland, OH) – Every month Keep Talking: A Storytelling Show gives Northeast Ohioans a chance to share true stories about a specific topic with an audience at The Happy Dog on Detroit Avenue in Cleveland. The November topic was “Coming Home,” and the resulting program, recorded live at The Happy Dog, will premiere on a special episode of The Sound of Applause this Thanksgiving, Thursday, Nov. 26 at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. on 90.3 WCPN ideastream.
On Thanksgiving The Sound of Applause on 90.3 at 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. will broadcast five true stories, each told by a local resident who was given the same topic, “Coming Home,” to serve as a creative spark. Listeners will hear from the following storytellers:
Sky Brown of Cleveland: "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner"
Co-host Zachariah Durr of Cleveland: "Niagara Falls"
Tim Cornett of Cleveland: "Stone Cold in Coal Country”
Dana Norris of Cuyahoga Falls: "Study Abroad, Study Yourself"
Co-host Adam Richard of Cleveland: "Waking Up in Paradise"
Started in 2014, Keep Talking gives everyday people a chance to get on stage and tell true stories about their own experiences, explain the show’s creators and hosts, Adam Richard and Zachariah Durr: “The show is an outlet for people to get on stage and open up about their lives in a way that is both deeply personal and entertaining.” Richard and Durr give new themes for the next monthly show and select storytellers through a submission process.
